Essential oregano oil from Origanum Vulgare originates from Spain and is extracted via steam distillation from the leaves and flowers. The scent is herbal, sharp, green, and camphoraceous.

Oregano is one of the most potent and powerful essential oils and has been used in traditional contexts for centuries.

Due to the high phenol content, caution should be exercised when inhaling or using in a diffuser. Only one to two drops are needed.
Oregano must also be diluted with a carrier oil when applied to the skin.
