This is an essential oil for aromatherapy and fragrance moments.

Lemongrass oil is extracted from Cymbopogon citratus, also known as "oil grass," from fresh or partially dried leaves through steam distillation and originates from Guatemala. The oil has a wonderfully fresh, citrus-like, and deeply aromatic scent profile. It is known in aromatherapy for effectively helping to counteract occasional fatigue and for invigorating and refreshing both body and mind during intense days.

The rich and refreshing aroma is also a fragrant and popular addition to mild, homemade pet shampoos to provide a clean feeling and refresh the coat. Lemongrass naturally contains high levels of citral, which is the exact same component that gives fresh lemon peel its primary, characteristic scent and taste.

Historically, lemongrass oil is also known by the names Indian verbena or Indian melissa oil, and it has a very long and proud tradition of use in traditional Indian wellness rituals to create balance and harmony.
